In the meantime, I'll be driving this guy. Maybe review it once I get more acquainted.
From what I can tell you from a 25 mile highway drive, this thing is so quietly and surprisingly fast (3.0).

they aren't bad cars. cvt though for the fwd models is a buzzkill.

With the exception of the A3, you can't in the U.S.

FWD is standard in the United States on the A3, A4, A5, and A6.

I assume most end up in CA, TX, AZ, FL, and so forth. Where all the RWD Jeeps go!

Nope, Soccer Mom's in Florida have to have top of the range models. FWD might not work well in the massive puddles in the sand formed pits in the mall parking lot.
